Who we are

We curate

1) Health experiences that provide physical challenges and exercise for sustainability and well-being;

2) Learning experiences that build knowledge, competence, and bike riding skills as well as critical analysis of the status quo to build empathy and to take collective action among our community members;

3) Community events to gather the community members, celebrate the accomplishments of our members, engage in collective learning, and to grow our community;

4) Partnership opportunities to volunteer with Family Ride programming as well as develop community responsive initiatives.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Gio is a proud Los Angeles native who deeply loves his community. A family man at heart, he is first and foremost a devoted husband and father—a proud “girl dad.” Cycling has played a powerful role in his life, supporting both his physical and mental well-being, and he believes in its ability to help humanity heal and reconnect, one bike ride at a time.

With over 25 years of experience working alongside diverse youth, educators, and organizational leaders, Gio has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to inspiring positive social change. He is a graduate of Biola University, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education with a focus on interpersonal relationships and child development. His professional roots span youth development, school culture and climate, mental health care, and coaching, equipping him with a culturally responsive and compassionate approach to working with both youth and adults.

Today, Gio is the CEO and founder of the cycling brand WE MAJOR LA and the nonprofit organization Family Ride Inc., while continuing to serve the Los Angeles community as a consultant in mentorship, education, and mental health care—particularly with foster youth.
